Congratulations to the local Amateur Trapshooting Association AIM Shooting Athletes of the Northern Colorado Junior Rams Team.

On Sunday the 24th of May in Colorado Springs at the Pikes Peak Gun Club, five local athletes competed in a competition of trapshooting. The squad shot a total of 426 out of 500 targets to bring home the first place trophy in the Junior Division, leading the Ft. Morgan Clay Busters team by 27 targets. Local athletes on the Jr. Rams Team were Cody Stout of Eaton, Dalton Hester of Eaton, Hunter McClure of Erie, Olivia Chavet of Loveland, and Nate Hollenbeck of Ft. Collins. There were 33 youth shooters for the daylong event that featured some of the top youth trap shooters in Colorado.  McClure and Stout also competed in the full two day program shooting great scores and bringing home  titles in the Trap Doubles and the Trap Handicap events.

On June 14th, 2009 The Jr. Rams Trap Shooting Team competed at Pawnee Sportsmen's Center
in a 200 target AIM/ATA event. There were approximately 20 youth shooters and another 15 adult shooters that participated. The Jr. Rams shot very well and won many awards in the AIM division as well as in the ATA portion of the event.

 2009 Colorado State AIM Shoot at Colorado Clays
On June 27th, 2009 the Jr. Rams Trap Shooting Team participated at the 2009 Colorado State AIM Championships.
The Jr. Team shot excellent taking the Runner-up award after shooting 911 targets out of a possible 1000. The first place team, the
High Plains Clay Busters from Fort Morgan took the Champion award with just one more target (912). The Jr. Rams also won many individual awards as well. To see the full results CLICK HERE.

2009 SCTP State Shoot      
One June 13th, 2009 the Jr. Rams Trap Team competed at Pawnee Sportsmen's Center in the 2009 Colorado SCTP State Championship. The Jr. Rams won 1st place in the team category,
individual winners were;
VARSITY - 1st Place, Cody Stout, 2nd Place, Hunter McClure, 3rd Place, Bryce Schwartz
JR. VARSITY - 1st Place, Coulter Ritsch, 2nd Place, Sean Fitzsimmons
ROOKIE - 1st Place, Dalton Hester, 2nd Place, Holden Fitzgerald

2009 Colorado State ATA Championship      
The 88th Annual Colorado State Trap Shoot was held on June 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st in Delta Colorado, the Jr. Rams Trap Shooting Team was represented by shooters Cody Stout, Hunter McClure and assistant coach Kelly Stout. All three members of the Jr. Rams team participated in numerous events throughout the shoot.
   
On Friday the 19th, Cody shot a 99 in the handicap event to put him in a 5 way shoot off for 2nd place overall, he decided to take the Junior title. On Saturday the 20th, assistant coach Kelly shot a 196 in the State Singles Championship to earn him the 2009 Colorado State title in B Class. Also on Saturday team member Hunter McClure shot a 184 in the singles to take the D class runner-up title.
   
  The Jr. Rams participants also won titles in the state handicap event and state doubles event
